NOBODY DOES IT BETTER...

OK, first things first. We know that we have a William Hunt flash banner ad on the side of our website, and that any further endorsements of the Golf Sexy collection might be seen as favouritism.

The thing is, not only is William a Northern Golfer (he is originally from Manchester), in our opinion – Golf Sexy is leading the way in modern, aspirational Golf fashion.

That is why we have his advert on our site, and why we will continue to introduce his collection to as many Northern Golfers as we can.

For anyone who doesn't know, William Hunt is a Savile Row tailor. He makes bespoke suits, and dresses the rich and famous. He burst onto the Golf scene with some style in 2004 when he dressed Ian Poulter in the now famous Union Jack trousers. Pictures of Ian in the patriotic pants made 7 front pages the next day! The huge amount of publicity helped William develop his vision for a golf collection, and didn’t do Ian Poulter’s image any harm either.

As of May 2007 William Hunt will be stocked in over 100 outlets, and will have opened his first Concept Shop (in Manchester no less!!), and have signed 3 new tour players for the season – not a bad result in only 24 months.

What makes William Hunt so good?

Three things according to William:-

1. Fit – I use the same fits that have helped me establish a name for myself on Savile Row in my golf range. They are designed to make you look taller and leaner – in fact I guarantee you will look 10lbs lighter when you wear my products. It’s what tailoring is all about – making the most of what you have.

2. Design – I design all the products by hand. If you look around the industry you will see the majority of designs being made using CAD machines – I believe that the art of design is in the artist.

3. Savile Row – it’s the indelible stamp of luxury. You can’t survive on Savile Row unless you produce the highest quality goods and you can’t use Savile Row in your name unless you have premises there.

Everyone at Northern Golfer is delighted that William Hunt has chosen Manchester as the location of his first concept shop, it not only shows that the North West is a hotbed of golf, but also that William Hunt as a clothing label believe that the people of Manchester are the right market for the most stylish golf gear available.
